Many acute illnesses can be prevented though frequent hand washing, covering your mouth while coughing, drinking plenty of water, eating a well-balanced diet and forgoing sharing drinks and food off of each other’s plates. When that doesn’t help, we are here to evaluate and treat acute illnesses to get you back on your feet and back to living your life.

Acute illnesses cause lost time at work and school and affects time spent with your family and friends. Those illnesses may prevent you from playing sports or performing in band, choir, orchestra or plays. When you are ill remember to stay home to get better. Come in and be evaluated so that you can return to your normal activities as soon as possible.

Remember to get your influenza immunization every year, as it helps stop the spread of a deadly illness. The elderly and people with chronic illnesses such as asthma, COPD, cancers and immune system disorders are at high risk for hospitalization or death if they catch influenza. Look around you. See those that you are protecting by getting your immunization. It may be a friend, family member or yourself whose life you save.
